Drag your thoughts away from your troubles... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it.
Just for today…And even though we are looking straight on in the face of a Monday. Let’s place our every thought on the abundance and the joy that is right there in front of us. I reject out of hand the notion that we can take things, anything a day at a time. This does not work for me. It never has. Now, this may be because I tend to stop mid-sentence to gape at something shiny and have a rather annoying habit of changing channels in a conversation frequently. But I digress! Buahahahahaha. When it comes to thoughts, more specifically troublesome thoughts we are perhaps better served if we set our intention to address them as they bubble to the surface. However often they bubble to the surface. As we wander through our busy day of tasks, traffic, interactions let's try to stay mindful of each moment. When we are driving we are joyfully engaged in all that this requires. When a troublesome memory or thought that is filled with angst and worry bubbles to the surface, we use that imagery to immediately see it burst and be gone. Burst and be gone. In a nanosecond we are back mindfully engaged in our current task. That is our mind's entree for this day. Stay aware and engaged in each thing that you are doing allowing the bubbles of burden to burst as they surface. So what is our dessert? Thought you would never ask! Since we will be taking bits of time to rest our bodies and thoughts, this is the time we use to creatively bring in our visualization of our next step forward. We may choose to drift to our favorite vacation spot, or we may want to remind ourselves one by one of the joys we have experienced along our path. This process has the potential to bring us relief from thoughts, memories and experiences that truly no longer serve us. It is a way for us to gracefully and purposefully move forward. And with joy. It is why we are here after all. It is what I wish for all of you.
And as we do? The Universe and all her beautiful occupants benefit.
And So it IS!
