This photo like this posting has no real spiritual or practical relevance at all. Is this a problem???
NOPE.
Here's my thinking. You work like a dang (photo on the right) and you come home and you want to eat something tasty and relax and maybe, just maybe, do something a little fun before you head back to the hamster wheel on Monday.
Forgive me while I digress. Kaytee products has issued a recall for the Hamster, Gerbil, Rat and Guinea pig food. Something about Salmonella for crying out loud. Go on line and make sure that Spot, Sadie, Bruiser, Jasper or Fluffers does not have tainted seeds O.K.? Bless the beasts and the children and all.

O.K. where was I? OH. Let's consider doing something different this weekend. Getting caught up on your soap or Survivor is fine but perhaps we can stretch ourselves just a tad hmmmm? Maybe the answer is to scare yourself. Now if that were me I would go and plop myself smack dab in the middle of social group at a place where people socialize. Or check your local listings and wander off to a festival of some sort. Spring is the perfect time of year to go taste some food you have never had before at a street fair. Call up someone you have wanted to get to know better and invite them to one of those Truck restaurants. See what volunteering needs doing in your community this weekend and join in.
Here's the thing. It is a real temptation to hole up in our homes with our internet access, cable tv and snacks at the ready. Life is moving pretty dang fast and I don't know about you but I am seriously aware of how many of my friends are struggling with health issues or their loved ones are struggling with health concerns and personal crises. This also tends to have us hole up a bit.
Expand your comfort zone just a little bit to be the one patient person in the check out line. Be the smile that the clerk has been needing all shift long. Call a family member and lift their spirits. Go dancing. Plant some flowers or make Paella! The Farmer's Markets are wonderful this time of year and a blessed way to support local produce. Eat a salad for crying out loud! Your colon will thank you. Do NOT get me started!
There is no getting around the level of stress that is ever present in our lives. The dance has to change for us if we begin to tango with new and different steps.
Make it happen people! I will be wanting a full report on Monday!
Namaste.
p.s. REDONDO BEACH! Hey! I have to tell you how excited I was last week to see that I had folks reading my blog posts from Lougauche! Do any of you over 50 types remember the Pink Panther movies and in one of them Inspector Clousseau was sent to Lougauche? Well I looked it up and it is beautiful!
